INTRODUCTION : Bazm-eLiqa (mystic assembly for the vision of beloved) is an arts and cultural promotion society aiming particularly at preservation and development of Sufi music traditions among the young generation of mountains valleys of Karakorum and Hindukush in cultural areas of Gilgit, Hunza Chitral.Today the need for spreading the Sufi message of universal brotherhood, love and forbearance is far more seriously felt in our society facing threats of violence, extremism and intolerance. The Bazm-e-Liqa society struggles to attract and inspire the new generation towards he unifying teachings of Sufi masters of Central and South Asia through the powerful medium of traditional music. Its main objectives include Engagement of youth in creative and constructive activities. Transfer of mystical music traditions to new generation. Transformation of society from materialism to spiritual enlightenment and building bridges with other national and international communities through cultural exchange.
