Interacting with NASA Hyperwall content on 6840x3840 pixel video wall
NASA #39;s Goddard Space Flight Center Scientific Visualization Studio produces amazingly high resolution images and animations for promoting a greater understanding of Earth and Space Science research activities at Goddard Space Flight Center and within the NASA research community. Some are designed expressly for a screen technology called The Hyperwall, a system largely perfected at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. The Hyperwall itself is a platform best suited for big themes. With colossal screen resolution and an ultrawide presentational style, moving images played there take on a vast sense of scale and power. At Content Interface Corporation (CIC), we managed to reproduce the Hyperwall for personal use. The system consists of a 12-screen video wall with resolution of 6840x3840 pixel, controlled by a single Windows PC that houses the FirePro W600 video card from AMD. CIC enVision provides visualization and interaction to various NASA imagery and animations. The result is a low-cost yet capable display system that has the same or better resolution than a typical 15-monitor Hyperwall from NASA. This system is perfect for museum, science center, and even university or school. From:Hao LeViews:9 0ratingsTime:10:42More inScience Technology
