What does Pass mean on the Certificate of Compliance?

You will see that each of the tested components (heavy metals, microbes, etc.) has aPass associated with it in the Results column. This means that the product meets the strict, well-established safety specifications and limits for this particular component asverified by either our in-house certified testing and/or by an independent, third-party validated laboratory. We have studied the guidance, recommendations, and regulations of a wide variety of reputable and scientific international organizations to determine our strict safety limits when it comes to microbes, heavy metals, radiation, gluten, and others. Pass essentially means that our products fully meet these strict and well-established parameters across the board.

What does Complies mean on the Certificate of Compliance in reference to GMOs?

We use the term complies to refer specifically to our audited compliance with all the guidelines and regulations of the organic programs of the U.S., Canada, European Union and Japan, which disallow the use of genetically modified organisms in any of our ingredients, products, or in our facility.

Why are there so many different standards for what is considered safe for these various compounds and elementsisnt there one federal standard?

Perhaps surprisingly, but no, there is not one single acceptable federal standard for safety when it comes to microbes, heavy metals, and radiation. Various scientific and reputable organizations around the world, including the FDA, USDA, EPA, WHO, and others, have studied these topics and their health implications. Subsequently, many of them have issued their recommendations for safe ranges. It is up to each manufacturer to determine which established standards they will follow. The Synergy Company has done an exhaustive analysis of ALL of these organizations guidance and set our safety standards at the strictest, safest levels in the industry.
