The ancient Sumerians accredited as the earliest recorded civilization in Mesopotamia (meaning "the land between two rivers," the Tigeris and Euphrates rivers), demonstrated their uncanny insights into our solar system. They possessed knowledge that we were only able to corroborate independently over 4500 years later! They knew that Earth was the third planet from the Sun, Uranus #39; bright greenish color and tilted axis of rotation and Neptune as the "blue-greenish" planet. They were aware of all nine planets we are familiar with today, plus one more- the "twelfeth planet" (they counted the Sun and Moon as "planets"), which they called Nibiru.
