Odin (a youtube maths fan who I visited in Norway) joins us for Christmas
Odin ("odinheim") latched on to me on youtube about 3 years ago. He was one of 2 or 3 youtube maths people who I met up with in Norway. Since doing his maths course there he has been operating cranes in Copenhagen. And now he is on his way to the Phillipines to do a training course which will permit him to operated them on oil rigs. There dad (Bob Jones) is (like mine) retired from science at the university here. He is quite an astronomer. He has written a play on Galileo which got performed at the Dukes Theatre... and is now writing one on Newton. Also you can see David (nuclear medicine...PhD from Cambridge... but he got it on the side while working radiology at Christies and in Sheffield)...with whom we have discussed much programming (yesterday he was trying to get me into "Hascell"...showing me all sorts of programs like his Countdown solver)... in particular when we were little we all did lots of BBC Micro programming (watch this space for upcoming videos of it): David did some pretty ...From:Timothy JamesonViews:1 0ratingsTime:00:24More inEducation
