Brown medical school dean to step down

The dean of Brown Universitys medical school is stepping down next year after less than five years on the job. The university said Monday that Edward Wing will take a sabbatical from the Warren Alpert Medical School after he steps down June 30 and return later as a faculty member. Wing served first as chairman of the department of medicine and physician in chief at the universitys affiliated hospitals before becoming dean of medicine and biological sciences in 2008.
