I am also a tech snob and tend to find flaws in things that others don #39;t notice. I used the projector for 4 hours last night - watching movies to test it. The Acer X1230PS produced bright, crisp, color-accurate (matched colors on laptop perfectly), images with no noticeable distortion. The image was perfectly rectangular after manually adjusting the keystone (auto keystone is always a little off). I like the image to perfectly fill my screen and it did. The projector is whisper quiet and didn #39;t seem to get hot at all after 4 hours of use in a 70 degree room. Amazing! It #39;s also a bit smaller and lighter than previous models. The other thing this projector does very well is produce dark colors - the blacks were very dark, giving a very high quality rich image with bright and dark on the same screen. Impressive.I #39;ve only had it for 24 hours, and this tech snob is very impressed! Only time will test the longevity of the machine, but it feels solid. More solid that the Epson Powerlite series and NEC projectors I #39;ve used. I would have liked the remote to include a laser pointer - minor.
