Liberty High School held its senior awards ceremony Monday night, May 20, with presentations of awards and scholarships to this years graduating students.

Those graduating in the top 10 percent of the 2013 class received gold stoles and tassels to wear at commencement. They include Cori Clevenger, Erin Zachary, Tierney Young, Allison Meche, Karina Moreno, Luke Harris, John Mark Herndon, Kristina Vierma, Juan Saavedra, Alicia Vanek, Daniel Hebert and Mackenzie Beasley.

Receiving gold cords to wear at commencement for completing at least eight honors courses and earning a grade point average of 3.75 or higher were Schuyler Ballew, MacKenzie Beasley, Blake Bell, Emily Bond, Key Buchanan, Courtney Cain, Cori Clevenger, Haleigh Domangue, Aaron Durham, Zackary Fregia, Rosaura Garcia, Wallencia Grant, Noemi Guerrero, Luke Harris, Daniel Hebert, John Mark Herndon, Morgan Hopper, Ashley Johnson, Christine Kozina, Allison Meche, Karina Moreno, Mariah Ozan, Kaitlyn Pierce, Paige Reed, Omar Rico, Juan Saavedra, Emily Scott, Joshua Sterling, Alicia Vanek, Aerial Vickers, Kristina Vierma, Carli Wallace, Kyle White, Ethan Worthy, Tierney Young, and Erin Zachary.

The University Interscholastic League Scholar Award was given to MacKenzie Beasley, Cori Clevenger, Luke Harris, Daniel Hebert, John Mark Herndon, Allison Meche, Karina Moreno, Juan Saavedra, Alicia Vanek, Kristina Vierma, Tierney Young and Erin Zachary.

National Honor Society members recognized were David Alpha, Alicia Baldwin, Schuyler Ballew, MacKenzie Beasley, Cori Clevenger, Haleigh Domangue, Aaron Durham, Rossaura Garcia, Luke Harris, Daniel Hebert, John Mark Herndon, Ashley Johnson, Christine Kozina, Allison Meche, Karina Moreno, Juan F. Saavedra, Josh Sterling, Alicia Vanek, Aerial Vickers, Kristina Vierma, Gabriela Villegas, Kyle White, Ethan Worthy, Tierney Young and Erin Zachary.

National Spanish Honor Society members recognized included Wualberto Abrego, Carla Arreozola, MacKenzie Beasley, Cori Clevenger, Haleigh Domangue, Aaron Durham, Alma Gallegos, Rosaura Garcia, Noemi Guerrero, Luke Harris, Daniel Hebert, John Mark Herndon, Ashley Johnson, Nancy Lule, Ramiro Mendez, Karina Moreno, Mariah Ozan, Kaitlyn Pierce, Omar Rico, Juan Saavedra, Josh Sterling, Kristina Vierma, Carli Wallace, Tierney Young and Erin Zachary.

Post Commander Charles Grabine presented the American Legion School Award to MacKenzie Beasley and Daniel Hebert.

Haleigh Domangue, Morgan Hopper, and Paige Reed received the Texas Music Scholar award.

The Texas Music Educators Association All-State Award went to Paige Reed.
