December's Genetics in Medicine podcast examines the public health implications of Angelina Jolie's op-ed in the New York Times in May, 2013. In the piece, Jolie reported on her decision to get tested for a mutation of the BRCA gene based on a family history of breast and ovarian cancer; when she tested positive, she then underwent a double mastectomy.
