How do you take on your world? Share your story: stedwards.edu/yourworld Hear Sam #39;s story: My dream is to help people stay healthy through scientific research. I #39;ve always loved math and science. I want to pursue an MD/PhD in biochemical physics and use what I learn to help people. I work on campus as a biology lab assistant, CAMP Calculus 2 tutor and a Peer Academic Coach, so other students can come to me if they #39;re having trouble with schoolwork. In the Natural Sciences Living Learning Community, I participated in group community service projects. Through Campus Ministry, I volunteered with the Bastrop fire relief efforts and delivered Thanksgiving dinner to families in need. I also donate blood whenever I am able to. During a summer internship with MD Anderson, I worked on targeting a specific virus that is known to be more active in cancer cells. I #39;m also very interested in how food culture impacts diet and a population #39;s health now and in future generations. I want to learn more about the diets of different cultures and possibly find ways to improve the American diet to promote better health. I #39;ve been given a lot of love and support in my life.
