It's Cyborg … by an eye

Lyman (Cyborg) Good punched his ticket to the finals of this seasons welterweight tournament with a second-round TKO victory over Michail (The Lonely Wolf) Tsarev in the main event of Bellator 78 in Dayton, Ohio, on Friday.

During the second round, Good landed a glancing jab that grazed Tsarevs eye. Tsarev attempted to motion to the ref that he was poked in the eye, but it was to no avail. The fight continued and Good put him away with punches moments later. The instant replay revealed the shot was legal, as Goods fist was closed.

Thats just a testimonial to how hard Ive been working, Good said.

Im going to go out there and represent my team ... Im ready for whoever comes my way.

The former welterweight champion will now meet Andrey (Spartan) Koreshkov in the finals.

Koreshkov earned his spot with a stunning first-round TKO victory over Marius (The Whitemare) Zaromskis in the co-main event.

Koreshkov did a brilliant job of keeping Zaromskis at a distance and beating him to the punch. After dropping the Lithuanian with a sharp left-hook, Koreshkov unloaded with strikes for the win. In a terrible display of refereeing, Jerry Poe took way too long to stop the bout, allowing Zaromskis to receive multiple unanswered punches.

Im very happy; there are so many emotions right now, Koreshkov said through his translator. Im very happy I didnt disappoint anyone.

The winner of Good and Koreshkov will meet the victor of the upcoming welterweight-title fight between Ben Askren and Karl Amoussou.

Daniel Straus earned an impressive submission victory over Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt Alvin (Kid) Robinson.
