Workington Comets' Glasgow fixture rearranged

Workington Comets trip across the border to Glasgow this weekend has been postponed until the end of the month.

Comets Premier League meeting with Glasgow Tigers, set for Sunday, will now be staged on October 26 at 3pm.

They would have been without Josh Grajczonek through injury and Rene Bach is also out on Polish League duty while Joe Jacobs is wanted by Mildenhall for their National League play-offs fight.

The Tigers would also have been missing Victor Palovaara, Kevin Wolbert and ex-Comet Rusty Harrison, so it was mutually agreed to push back the meeting.

The rearranged fixture will be Comets last away trip and final league fixture of the 2014 season and they are hoping to field something close to a full-strength team.

Laura Morgan, Workington owner, said: Of course you always want to see good, competitive racing. We also want the fans to see what they havent had much of a chance to see this season, which is Workington racing with a full seven.
