Comets Support Fight Against EEE, And More

NEW HAVEN, NY The Oswego County Comets are never ready to end the riding season; however, with the cold air that is soon to be upon us, we had the time to catch up on some unfinished business.

In this photo are members of the Oswego County Comets Motorcycle Riding Club presenting a sizable donation check to Mike Wilcox, of The MSGW Foundation (Maggie Sue Glenister Wilcox), to help in its continuing efforts towards the research and development of a human vaccine for Eastern Equine Encephalitis, also know as EEE.

The Comets are dedicated to the camaraderie of all motorcycle enthusiasts and in helping our local community.

This year, the Comets will again be giving gift cards at Thanksgiving and Christmas to families in our local area in need of a little assistance during the holidays.

In addition, we will once again hold our annual canned food drive.

Canned goods can be dropped off at the home of the Comets, Hazzys Tavern in New Haven, or at Custom Novelty Prints in Mexico anytime during business hours.

Please help us to help our friends and neighbors.

The Comets celebrates the 10th anniversary of our re-founding this year and we are very proud to say that in those 10 years we have been able to help our community with more than $20,000 in donations that have been made to our local ambulance service, fire departments, non-profit organizations, animal shelters, kidney foundation and for breast cancer awareness, as well as many individuals and families.

The Comets wish to thank all that have helped us help others in our community and we look forward to your continued support.
