Rick and Morty theories: Rick Sanchez is keeping his original body imprisoned – here’s how – Express

Season four of Rick and Morty concluded in May and finally tied up some major loose ends from season three. When the sci-fi comedy continues on Adult Swim and Netflix, fans may have already figured out the next earth-shattering reveal. Unhinged inventor Rick Sanchez was revealed to have several clones of himself in storage, but his original body could still be trapped somewhere across the dimensions.

Rick Sanchez (played by Justin Roiland) may have permanently damaged his relationship with his daughter, Beth (Sarah Chalke) after the events of Rick and Mortys madcap fourth season.

Episode ten, Star Mort: Rickturn of the Jerri, revealed Rick had cloned his daughter and sent one into space without knowing which was which.

Accepting his failures as a father, Rick is set to begin the upcoming fifth season having reached a new personal low in season four.

Before his epic showdown with Tammy (Cassie Steele), Birdperson (Dan Harmon) and the Galactic Federation, Rick and Mortys dimension-hopping adventure may have provided a hint for whats to come next.

In Edge of Tomorty: Rick Die Rickpeat Rick sends his consciousness into alternate universe clones of himself as Morty unleashes chaos with a precognitive alien crystal.

Rick had already experimented with cloning by turning himself into Tiny Rick in season two, but the season four premiere revealed the unhinged inventor keeps several clones lying around in case of emergency.

One fan took to Reddit to suggest the series could eventually reveal a dark twist about Ricks penchant for cloning.

Redditor pranjalol posted: I was watching episode 7 of season 2, Big Trouble in Little Sanchez, where Rick transforms himself into a teenager and preserves his actual body in his lab.

The fan continued: So from this incident, I propose a theory that Rick is not in his actual body.

Rick has one catchphrase, Wubba lubba dub dub, which we come to know means I am in great pain, help me!

So it is possible that every time Rick says this he is giving a clue to someone to help himself.

Ricks apparently nonsense catchphrase is eventually revealed by Birdperson as an anguished cry for help.
