Bucky: Concept animation for children #39;s education
This animation is a concept piece I developed for the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering in 2009. Bucky is one of four "Nanomations" characters I created who were intended to teach children (and adults) about nanotechnologies researchers are testing for use in health care. Drs. Kroto, Curl and Smalley were awarded the 1996 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for their roles in the discovery of buckminsterfullerene and the related class of molecules, the fullerenes. This carbon-based device, more commonly referred to as a "bucky ball," is now used in health research as a potential drug and gene delivery device.From:lostcozproductionsViews:4 0ratingsTime:00:50More inFilm Animation
