Dr. Gianquinto grew up in Bakersfield, and returned to Kern County to take care of the community that laid the foundation for his success. After graduating from Garces Memorial High School, Dr. G went on to the University of Colorado at Boulder and University of New Mexico, earning his BA in Biochemistry. A brief foray into the telecommunications industry took him to San Luis Obispo before continuing on to Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, where he earned the prestigious Pierre Fauchard Academy Scholarship, and a full scholarship through the United States Navy. As a Navy Dentist, Dr. G. completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego, and received additional certifications in TMJ and orofacial pain management, complex endodontic therapy, oral surgery, periodontal surgery and combat casualty care. He then served as Dental Officer aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan for two West Pacific deployments, earning multiple awards, medals and a back seat ride in a jet.
