Dr. Fraser Hof is a chemist and a professor at the University of Victoria. As the Canada Research Chair in Supramolecular and Medicinal Chemistry, he studies how molecules bind together. He and his team collaborate closely with several biochemistry and cancer-research laboratories to translate these discoveries into practical advances in the treatment and understanding of disease. In this video, he discusses how an understanding of the molecular mechanisms in a cell can help us to understand and fight human disease, in particular cancer.
