Dell Technologies teams with AI startups to make it easier for organizations put new artificial intelligence solutions into production.

At the outset of a new decade, news organizations and their prognosticators like to make predictions about what lies ahead for the next 10 years. Today, I will jump into the same game and make a sweeping prediction about the decade that is just getting under way: The 2020s will be the decade in which artificial intelligence comes of age.

Today, there is a tidal wave of momentum for AI, which is apparent in projections for dramatic growth in the AI market. A recent report from the Fortune Business Insights, for example, predicts that the global AI market will grow at a rate of more than 33 percent per year, rising from around $20 billion in 2018 to top $200 billion by 2026.[1]

This kind of market growth creates fertile ground for startup companies that are bringing innovative AI technologies to market including those for machine learning, deep learning and more. This is a game most companies now want to play. As Jeremy Achin, CEO of the AI startup DataRobot, says in a Forbes magazine story, Everyone knows you have to have machine learning in your story or youre not sexy.[2]
