'Queen of anti-aging' takes her throne in new office

It is said with age comes wisdom. But with age also comes physical changes to the body that include difficulty losing weight, hormone imbalance, lack of energy and fine lines and wrinkles.

Known among her clients are the "queen of anti-aging," Dr. Jennine Cabanellas tackles these problems with her practice, the Wellington Wellness Institute. She uses a combination of external and internal rejuvenation practices to get her clients looking and feeling their best.

The practice, which has been open for five years, recently found a new home closer to its equestrian clientele at 13421 South Shore Blvd. in Wellington. Although the move did not offer more space it gave Cabanellas the opportunity to design the space from the floor up.

"It took us a while to get into the space," she said. "We are calling the office equestrian chic; everything is wood from the floor up and we have added little details. For example the doors are not regular doors but instead look like barn doors."

With the new location Cabanellas has added new menu options to her extensive anti-aging and wellness treatments. For example the Wellington Wellness Institute now has dietitian Shanith Coro on staff.

"He uses a very scientific approach to nutrition," she said. "Testing for food intolerances, heavy metals, amino acids and other issues of the GI."

The office also has a medical aesthetician, who specializes in a number of treatments, which allows clients to get the best results from facial peels and other anti-aging treatments, Cabanellas said.

She provides aesthetic rejuvenation services like botox and dermal fillers. Bio-identical hormone therapy, energy shots and medical weight loss programs also are available.

"Many of my patients are not sick," she said. "They are people who are looking for a better quality of life."

Cabanellas attended school at Columbia University, Harvard, University of Michigan and Washington University St. Louis, and is board-certified in ophthalmology, anti-aging medicine, aesthetic medicine and surgery.
