NCIS: Renewed For Season 11!

NCIS just keeps rolling on, and shows no signs of slowing in quality or popularity.

As such, it's officially been renewed for an 11th season by CBS, which agreed to terms on a contract extension with star and executive producer Mark Harmon, the network announced Friday.

"In a world gone niche, NCIS keeps getting bigger, and Mark Harmon continues to define the role of leading man on the #1 show on television," CBS President and CEO Leslie Moonves said.

NCIS Cast on Walk of Fame

"NCIS is the type of franchise every company wants in today's global content ecosystem - high-quality storytelling that generates passionate viewers and drives revenue on every conceivable platform."

True, true and true.

A rarity in today's environment, NCIS' ratings have only grown since its 2003 premiere. NCIS Season 10 is has been the top-rated drama on television, averaging 21.48 million viewers.

Just last month, it delivered its second-largest audience ever with 22.86 million. The terms of Harmon's deal were not disclosed, but at this rate, Season 11 may not be the team's last.

How long can it keep this up? Time will tell, but congratulations to the cast, producers, writers and crew members for continually delivering such a quality product and for being recognized for it.
