Humanoid Robot Roboy - ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
Your watching Topical79, your link to current news. At the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory of the University of Zurich they are soon to introduce advanced humanoid robots believe it or not! They are projecting the launch of this advanced robot in about 9 months. The robot is called Roboy as it resembles a boy. Involved are 40 engineers and scientists as well as 15 project affiliates. Roboy is a tendon driven robot allowing it to move more like a human. The concept behind Roboy is that it will do as you please as it will fulfill your requests. Safety is of top concern and Roboy #39;s overall character is soft, physically to the touch and mental in it #39;s movement execution. This term is called "soft robotics". According to roboticists robots are already apart of our life and will also play a bigger role in caring for the elderly in the near future. Roboy will be presented at the Robots on Tour in Zurich.
