Human Fingerprints on Superstorm Sandy?
Climate One host Greg Dalton asks NASA scientist James Hansen what effect -- if any -- did humans have on Superstorm Sandy, which devastated areas from Eastern Canada to as far south as the Caribbeans. "The climate dice are now loaded," says Hansen, "and they are loaded in such a way that, not only do we get more unusually warm seasons, but those which are more extreme are much more frequent than they used to be. [It is] unlikely that you would have such extreme warming without this global warming underneath that." Speaker: James Hansen, Head, NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies; Adjunct Professor, Columbia University #39;s Earth Institute; Author, Storms of My Grandchildren Recorded: December 4, 2012 climate-one.org httpFrom:ClimateOneViews:2 0ratingsTime:04:01More inNonprofits Activism
