Do you remember that story a couple years back where Megan Ellison, daughter of Oracle founder Larry Ellison, beat out Lionsgate in an auction for the rights to make at least two more installments of The Terminator? Well, she has finally closed the complicated rights deal with Pacificorp, that had the rights before her and now she #39;s making moves to get the movie made. Megan has enlisted her brother, David Ellison to be her financial and creative partner. Both were executive producers on True Grit but Megan has financed movies like 30 Dark Zero, Killing them Softly and Lawless while David has gone the blockbuster route with Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, GI Joe: Retaliation and Star Trek Into Darkness. So chances are David and his Skydance Productions will take the lead on Terminator since it #39;s up his alley. Last we heard about anything Terminator-related, Fast Five #39;s Justin Lin was attached to direct, which he has since dropped out due to scheduling conflicts with the Fast and Furious franchise and Arnold Schwarzenegger was set to star. The duo is looking for a screenwriter to figure out a way to end James Cameron #39;s battle between humans and cyborgs of Skynet. We had almost forgotten about Ellison/Terminator deal, how about you?
