Set in the year 2552 the United Nations Space Command has been at war with a dangerous alien alliance called The Covenant for decades. After the center of UNSC military power the planet Reach was destroyed by the Covenant a lone ship The Pillar of Autumn escaped the battle and found a mysterious alien object called a Halo Ring. During a battle above the Ring The Covenant forced the crew of the Pillar of Autumn to abandon ship and escape to the Halo Ring while the Captain lands the ship on the Ring. The story follows supersoldier Master Chief and his Artificial Intelligence companion Cortana as they engage the Covenant on different parts of the Ring. For The Covenant The Ring is a holy symbol of their religious crusade a gateway to paradise. Little do the UNSC or The Covenant realize the Ring holds deadly secrets which could bring about the end of the Galaxy. The Master Chief must stop this from happening before its too late...
