She is the author of more than 40 books on church and society, peacemaking and social justice, and spirituality and the religious life, including The Gift of Years and The Radical Christian Life. She is co-chair of the Global Peace Initiative of Women, a partner organization of the UN, which facilitates a worldwide network of women peace builders.
