The gang that cloned ATM cards and broke into accounts has been busted. ATM card cloning machines, several ATM cards and blank cards have also been recovered from them. The two hands of the gang are caught by the police. He is identified as Ramesh (29) and Sonu Kumar (22) living in Sultanpuri. The crime branch nabbed both of them in front of RC Nagar in Prem Nagar just before withdrawing money at the ATM with a cloned card. The crime branch is interrogating them and collecting information about the entire mess and other members involved in the gang.

Crime Branchs Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Daryaganj came to know about the ATM cloning gang. The gang is active in several areas of Delhi including Sultanpuri, Prem Nagar, Nangloi. The gang claimed to have an ATM card cloning machine and several cloned cards. A team was formed and sent to RC Mall on Monday night. At around 11 pm, two youths came by a bike. Both started moving towards ATMs within the mall. The Crime Branch team caught both.

Each bank has different rules regarding ATM withdrawal. Nevertheless, if you look at the rules of ATM withdrawal of State Bank of India, 8 free cash withdrawals are allowed in metro cities. In this, 5 transactions can be done from SBI ATM, while 3 transactions can be done from any other banks ATM. After the transaction, the customer has to pay extra charge on the transaction.

If we talk about non-metro cities, then this limit is 10 there. That is, 5 times you can withdraw money from the State Bank of India ATM, while 5 times you can withdraw money from the ATM of another bank. If you make a transaction beyond the limit, then you have to pay GST with a charge of 20 rupees in case of withdrawing money, whereas if you just check the balance or do any other transaction other than withdrawing money, then you have to give 8 rupees and GST. Will happen.

Along with this, Nirmala Sitharaman gave relief from keeping the minimum balance. For 3 months, no bank could charge a penalty from the customer if there was no minimum balance. Now its term is ending on June 30 and the penalty will be recovered from the customers in case of no minimum balance from July 1.

After searching, there were 9 ATM cards and 12 blank cards with a magnetic strip on Sonus pocket, which were exactly the size of the ATM card. Bank of Maharashtras ATM card and a magnetic card reader were found in Rameshs pocket. It was written in America designed. During interrogation, Ramesh said that both of them had come to withdraw money from ATMs of Bank of Maharashtra. Magnetic cards were used for ATM card cloning.

The police confirmed the money removed

The police, after asking the PIN of the card of Bank of Maharashtra, took out the first mini statement from the ATM of Union Bank located in Ansari Road. The number of the slip that came from it and the number from which the card was withdrawn was different. This cleared the matter of cloning. Rs 500 was withdrawn to locate the owner. When information was obtained from the bank, it was found from there that ICICI Banks card has been cloned in the Bank of Maharashtra card. This account turned out to be Ankit Goyal living in Trinagar.

When the police called Ankit Goyal, he came to the Crime Branch office and told that he had gone to the ATM of Milap Cinema in Karmapura on July 19 to withdraw Rs 8000. When the money started counting on the side there, a young man said that he is asking for your mobile number on the ATM screen. When he entered the mobile number, it was not accepted. The boy said that I insert your ATM card and feed your mobile number. He gave it away and after entering the mobile number he took out his card. He went to the ATM twice again, but did not get the money. On being called by the police, they came to know that their card was cloned.
