The aptly named Castaway Cottage sits in the heart of the Suffolk countryside, near the village of Yoxford.

The elegant Tudor farmhouse sits on a small island with a moat and can only be accessed across a private bridge and drive, so it's ideal for those wanting a countryside retreat away from any hustle and bustle.

It boasts five bedrooms in the main house, while the separate boathouse also offers a room with doors leading directly out to the gardens.

There's everything you could want for a cosy stay. For example, in the summer you could go rowing on the moat, soak up the sunshine on the outdoor deck, or make use of the al fresco dining facilities and BBQ. In the evenings, warm up by one of the four open fires on offer.

For those who fancy exploring, there are plenty of walks nearby, and Castaway Cottage is located on a 5,000-acre estate where there are heaps of activities open to the public from tennis courts to paddleboarding and rowing on the Serpentine Lake.

In the winter months, the open plan kitchen and diner is ideal for those who want to whip some hearty meals while still enjoying the view of the Great Outdoors, while the lounge has a Smart TV and Sky TV so you can binge watch your favourite shows should the British weather let you down.
