Julius Malema will be heading to Seshego, Limpopo, where he will be gifting elderly residents of his hometown with hampers.

IOL reports that the EFF has upheld this tradition since Juju formed the political party six years ago, fulfilling his promise to support older residents.

The annual event is reportedly aimed at attracting older voters to the party, which is predominantly supported by younger South Africans.

The Red Beret boss will be holding two events in his hometown, one at the Kgobaganang Sports Ground and another at Masecha Primary School on Tuesday.

Commenting on social development, MP Delisile Ngwenya reiterated the party's view that the president should take the lead:

Meanwhile, the party has welcomed a new member from across the border, former Zimbabwean Minister Patrick Zhuwao, Briefly.co.za gathered.
