Mama Grizzley saves Baby on the way to Campaign Rally

From Clifford F. Thies:

Karen Harrington is the Republican candidate for Congress in Florida's 20th C.D. On the way to a campaign rally, she was stopped by a mother screaming.

NBCMiami describes:

Some political candidates will do anything to get a vote, but when Karen Harrington sprung into action Saturday, it wasn't to talk about taxes.

She was trying to save a life.

Harrington, who is running to dethrone Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, pulled a 3-year-old from an SUV that she just watched flipped over twice while she was on her way to a weekend campaign rally, the Sun-Sentinel reports.

The child's mom, Wendy Breslow, was able to escape the crash unscathed, but screamed that her baby was still inside.

That's when the 46-year-old Republican candidate crawled in the SUV through an open hatch and unhooked the child, who was trapped in his car seat upside down.

Harington was quoted by the local newspaper:

"What kicks in is just rescue the child…. You just hope that God’s on
your side and you can’t second guess that. Adrenaline is just
unbelievable and human instinct to help another person takes over.”

Well, let's say that "human instinct" kicks in for some people. Other people might wear a button to raise consciousness or advocate more funding for government programs. Let's face it, who would you rather be passing by when you're in real danger? Somebody with a Obama bumper sticker or somebody with a McCain-Palin sticker?
