TEXAS: Democrats lose a County Chairman, backs Republican for State Rep.

From Eric Dondero:

PJ Media contributor and friend and contributor to Libertarian Republican Bryan Preston reports that the Democratic Party chairman in Williamson County, Texas resigned Tuesday. He then endorsed the Republican who is challenging the Democrat in the state Representative race.

From PJ Media:

In spite of its conservative reputation, Williamson County voters elected liberal Democrat Diana Maldonado to the Texas House in the 2008 Obama wave to represent District 52. This year, Maldonado faces a very strong challenger in Republican Larry Gonzales. Gonzales received a very unexpected endorsement Tuesday, when the Williamson County Democratic Party chairman, Greg Windham, resigned his post and endorsed Gonzales on his way out.

Bryan remarks:

"This looks like it may be the first shot in a civil war that will begin once the left has led the Democrats to a national defeat."
