Expert to discuss if growth hormone can slow down the aging process

Newswise Growth hormone has been in the news recently as a substance used by athletes to gain a competitive edge, but more people are using the hormone to hold on to their youth. The Endocrine Society will be holding a 30-minute webinar exclusively for journalists on the topic of growth hormone use and anti-aging. Reporters will have an opportunity to pose questions to presenting experts during the webinar.

The webinar will address the following questions:

What is growth hormone and what does it do? When would a doctor prescribe growth hormone treatment? Can growth hormone give a 60 year old person, the body of a 30 year old? Can growth hormone use lead to longer life? Are there any dangers to using growth hormone for the purposes of looking younger?
