3-D Reconstruction of Grapevine Stem Vessels
This video shows a section of a grapevine stem refilling with water. As we pan through the stack of images, we can see the stem wall structures, as well as water droplets. Being able to visualize this information in 3-D helps in understanding fluid flow and retention in plants, and could lead to more sophisticated ways of breeding plants that are more resistant to environmental factors such as drought.
