After an indifferent start to the season, Comets comprehensively won their last two matches and are looking to continue their good form this weekend.

They face the reigning Premier League champions Somerset Rebels at Derwent Park tomorrow in the Premier League Knockout Cup, a competition the Rebels also won last year.

The Comets will be hoping for a decent points tally to take to Somerset for the second leg next Friday.

On Sunday Workington travel to the north east to take on Newcastle Diamonds in the Premier League.

Comets romped to victory in their opening Premier League fixture on Saturday with a 52-40 home win over Peterborough and have already enjoyed success against Newcastle earlier this season when they triumphed in the Ian Thomas Shield.

Morgan said: We are feeling much better than we have done of late. I did think the Peterborough match was going to be tough, but on the contrary. There was some excellent racing. The adrenaline was pumping round the stadium.

We hope thats a sign that things are starting to settle down and we will see what happens this weekend.
